Analysis on operation strategy of air-source heat pump in Xi’an area

Taking an air-source heat pump energy station in Xi’an as an example, presents its operation, analyses the characteristics of typical daily operation in cooling and heating seasons, and finds that the cooling and heating seasons have the problems of long-term unit operation in low-efficiency area and insufficient volume adjustment. In the heating season, there is still a problem that the unit can hardly reach the rated heating capacity. Proposes four improvement strategies for the existing problems: the air-source heat pump consists of three systems; when only one system is running, one pump is turned on; when two or three systems are running, two pumps are turned on; electric heat tracing is used to defrost during extreme weather in the heating season; and the output of the unit is adjusted by artificially controlling the return water temperature.
